Tuesday November 23rd was the arrival date of my parents visit and Nige and I had been busy in the weeks previously preparing for their visit. Unfortunately I returned home from a night shift for Nigel to inform me that Domino had woken up that morning and been unable to use her back legs. We jumped in the car and headed straight to the Vets. After the vet examined her they said tit could be a prolapsed disk, pressing on the spinal cord. We were given anti-inflammatory tablets to give her and asked to pop back in a week to see how she was doing. So with Domino confined to strict bed rest and having to rely on us for everything, it was a mad rush to finish everything before heading to the airport that evening.
At 8:30 that evening, with Domino tucked up at home in her bed, we greeted my parents as they arrived at Calgary. We were so pleased to see the and shocked to see that since we'd last seen them, they had lost almost 10 stone between them! I was working that night so after some dinner and a quick catch up it was an early night for Mum, Dad and Nige and off to work for me, ready for a busy two weeks of a full itinerary!
